SARATOGA, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a man riding a bicycle was hit by a car that fled the scene.
Officials say on March 9 troopers from Saratoga responded to a hut and run accident on Galway Rd. in Milton. They say Nathaniel Espinal from Ballston Spa was riding his bicycle facing the direction of traffic when he was struck from what he believed to be a newer black ford mustang.
The driver of the Mustang allegedly failed to stop after striking the man on the bike. Espinal was uninjured, but his bike was damaged.
The next day, trooper’s located the operator of the Mustang: Eric Elk of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Elk was given three traffic tickets for the incident, including one for leaving the scene of an accident. He is set to appear in Milton Town Court on a later date.
