TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Rensselaer County legislators are thinking about joining Troy city council in asking the city to step up and help those who were without water for 10 days or more.
Last week we told you about the hardship several homes had to go through when a pipe burst in their neighborhood. The main issue – who was going to pay for it.
The city of Troy said it was all up to the residents, but republicans in the county legislature say it should be up to the city to make the long-term repairs which is a view shared with most of the city council.
The legislature will now consider a resolution on the matter during its meeting tonight.
