Schenectady man arrested in Middleburgh burglary after DNA match

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – A 30-year-old Schenectady man faces burglary charges after authorities say DNA linked him to the scene of the crime.

State Police arrested Henry Castaing and charged him with felony burglary in connection to a burglary investigation in Middleburgh. He is now in the custody of the Schoharie County Sheriff.

The crime occurred at a private residence in July of 2014 where household items and tools were stolen. Castaing was linked to the burglary through a DNA databank hit which placed him in the scene of the crime.

Authorities previously made an arrest in the crime, and additional arrests are also anticipated.
