Scotia man arrested after being caught with pot and meth

BRUNSWICK, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police say a man from Scotia was arrested on drug charges over the weekend.

State Police in Brunswick say 26-year-old Christopher Zieniuk of Scotia was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by a trooper on Oil Mill Hill in Troy on Saturday. The trooper says he smelled marijuana while speaking with the driver.

During a search of the vehicle, both marijuana and methamphetamine were found. Zieniuk admitted to owning the drugs. He was taken into custody and transported to the Brunswick barracks. Zieniuk was processed and released on appearance tickets and is due in court on a later date.
