‘Read Across America Day’ kicks off at School 16 in Troy

On Monday, School 16 honored Dr. Seuss by taking part in the 18th year of “National Read Across America Day” by first eating the iconic green eggs and ham meal. They then shared different Dr. Seuss poems before sitting down to watch the film.

Each year once of Dr. Seuss’s classics is chosen and read to elementary school students in an effort to get them excited about reading.

Reading events are taking place in different classrooms all over the world today.
