Police: Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Schenectady Police Department is currently investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that occurred Monday night.

Authorities say 29-year-old Cyril Douglas of Schenectady was walking near the intersection on Watt St. and Route 7 in Schenectady just before 9:15 p.m. when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound. Police responded to the incident after multiple calls from witnesses.

Police say Douglas is currently being treated at Albany Medical Center and is in stable condition. The extent of his injuries is not known at this time.

The driver of the vehicle has not been issued any tickets but the accident remains under investigation by Schenectady Police.
