HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — (NEWS10) The 87th Academy awards is all about the stars, the fashion, and the takeover on Twitter.
RAIN OR SHINE
The forecast in Hollywood wasn’t the best for the Sunday event, and organizers tried to protect the ‘Dolby Theatre’ rotunda from the worst of the weather. The large Oscar statue was covered in a thick plastic sheet, and the area surrounding the red carpet was cased in a plastic tent due to the rain.
But there definitely weren’t any rain-boots in sight! Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars were dressed to the T. Actress, Anna Kendrick chose a coral Thakoon gown featuring a jeweled collar and Norman Silverman jewelry on the red carpet.
Actress, Emma Stone looked ravishing in a long-sleeve, chartreuse custom Elie Saab gown.
Actress, Reese Witherspoon wore a white Tom Ford column dress with two black strips of fabric at the horizontal off-the-shoulder neckline and waist.
For the first time, Los Angeles International Airport was painted in gold for the 87th Academy Awards. Anthony Samaniego brings you this moment in his stunning GIF:
