GUILDERLAND, N.Y. – A Troy man faces several charges after allegedly punching a woman in front of her child in the Crossgates Mall parking lot.
State Troopers arrested Koran Davis, 26, following the domestic dispute.
Authorities were called to the parking lot of the mall to investigate the dispute, and located the victim that had been punched in the face by Davis, in front of her child. An investigation also revealed that when the victim attempted to use her cell phone to contact 911, Davis prevented her from doing so.
When the victim sought assistance from inside of the mall, Davis left the scene in her vehicle without permission. He was located a short time later in Troy where he was arrested for harassment in the second-degree, criminal mischief in the fourth-degree, unauthorized use of a vehicle and endangering the welfare of a child.
Davis was processed at SP New Scotland and arraigned in the Town of Guilderland Court. He was remanded to Albany County Jail in lieu of $5000 bail and was scheduled to reappear on February 19.
