Police: Suspect charged after mugging woman outside of Rite Aid

ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Police in Rotterdam have made an arrest in the purse snatching incident that happened outside a Rite Aid.

Police say on Monday they arrested 40-year-old Daniel Larose in connection to the incident that occurred at the corner of Altamont Ave. and Crane St. on February 20. Police say they found Larose at his apartment at 244 Union St in Schenectady.

Officials say Larose is accused of approaching the victim as she was exiting her vehicle in the parking lot and taking her purse.

He was apprehended with the assistance of the Glenville Police Department and New York State Parole.

Larose is being charged with Grand Larceny in the 4th degree and was remanded to Schenectady County Sheriffs without bail.
