Congressman Tonko addresses local funding for Alzheimer’s

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) – Congressman Paul Tonko is coming to Albany to discuss funding for Alzheimer’s research and care.

Congressman Tonko will be at the Colonie Senior Services Center on Friday, outlining the Alzheimer’s Accountability Act; a bill he proposed last year to prevent the disease and come up with better treatment options.

Last year the U.S. spent $214 Billion on Alzheimer’s patients. Tonko will be meeting with patients and their families, as well as staff at the center to discuss issues related to care.
