ALBANY, N.Y. – With Vermont’s loss to Binghamton Wednesday night, the Great Danes still hold a two game lead in the America East despite coming off their first loss since December.
It’s that loss, though, that’s resonating with UAlbany this week. Some of the players said they team now has a renewed energy as they get set for the final three games of the season.
“It definitely was a wakeup call,” junior guard Ray Sanders. “We just can’t be having little mishaps on the court like unforced turnovers.”
“It’s turned a bit of a corner in the locker room for us in terms of refocusing guys and realizing the situation we’re in, and that as Vermont’s loss last night shows, we can lose to anybody,” senior forward Sam Rowley said.
The Danes will look to start a new win streak Friday night when they host Hartford at 7 p.m.
