SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) – The Schenectady Police Department has made an arrest in the stabbing incident that occurred at 117 Washington Ave, The College Suites on Sunday.
At approximately 2:08 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to 33 State St., The Stockade Market and Deli, for reports of two individuals with stab wounds.
Once on scene officers quickly located two male victims who with stab wounds to their torso area.
The victims were treated on scene by members of the Schenectady Fire Department and transferred to Albany Medical Center.
Officers responding to the scene determined that the incident occurred inside The College Suites and then victims walked to the Stockade Market and Deli seeking refuge.
The Schenectady Police Department’s Detective Division interviewed possible witnesses of the incident and reviewed security footage, which aided in identifying the male suspect.
The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Henzlee Miranda. Miranda was located shortly after the incident.
Miranda is currently being held in Schenectady City lock-up awaiting his Monday morning arraignment.
The suspect is being charged with two counts of felony attempted murder in the second degree and felony assault in the first degree.
It is believed that all three males involved in Sunday’s incident lived at The College Suites.
Both victims remain at Albany Medical Center in fair condition at this time.
