UAlbany to face off against Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The University at Albany men’s basketball team will take on Binghamton Tuesday night.

All the publicity is good for the UAlbany men’s basketball team. The team has reached its highest ranking ever in the mid-major poll at number 20. Junior guard Peter Hooley will be coming home this week to a team that could still be undefeated in conference play.

The Great Danes are amidst a Division I program-best eleven game winning streak and will be going for a record 12 on Tuesday against Binghamton.

But if there’s one thing the team has learned this week, it’s that no victory is a given. The Great Danes blew double digit leads in their last two games. Though they escaped both with wins, head coach Will Brown said the team has to keep grinding.

“We gotta get better,” he said. “I mean, we’re 11-0, but we gotta get better. And that’s my thing. I’m challenging these guys to get better.”
