STEPHENTOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10)– A public forum will be held Thursday to discuss a proposed natural gas pipeline project in the Capital Region.
After numerous questions from residents, the Rensselaer County Legislature will hold a forum to help inform the public about the major gas pipeline that would be routed through southern Rensselaer County. The Tennessee Gas Pipeline expansion would carry gas through Schodack, Nassau and Stephentown, with a possible compressor in East Schodack.
The public forum will take place at the Stephentown Town Hall at 6 p.m. Several open houses are also slated throughout February for residents to learn more about the project. The next is scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m. at Green Meadow Elementary School.
