CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. – A local hotel is putting a bit of history on the auction block tonight, all for a great cause.
Those who auction Thursday’s Cambridge Hotel auction could get their hands on Items like a Victorian-era couch. Many local residents say they want a souvenir, their last chance at a piece of history.
Built in 1885, the Cambridge Hotel has undergone many renovations over the years. On Thursday, people will have a chance to bring a piece of its history home, as the hotel auctions off about 40 items at the Eagle Bridge Auction House.
Some of the unique antiques date back to the 1800 and 1900s.
Since it is a charity auction, a portion of the money raised will aid the Cambridge Senior Center Food Pantry.
