QUEENSBURY, N.Y. – The man accused of shooting a Walmart employee in Queensbury is due in court for a pre-trial hearing Friday.
Raymond White, 54, is charged with attempted murder in the second degree, criminal use of a firearm, attempted assault, assault with the intent to harm, and criminal possession of a weapon. He rejected a plea offer in early January 2015.
The Warren County District Attorney’s Office says the trial is scheduled to begin on February 23.
Authorities say the victim was shot in the parking lot and then ran into the store. They were shot in the upper torso.
White was taken into custody after he was transported to Glens Falls Hospital by ambulance for an apparent drug overdose. Security officials there recognized him as the man wanted for questioning in the shooting incident and called state police.
