DEPOSIT, N.Y. – An Amsterdam man has been arrested in Delaware County.
On Wednesday, State Police say they arrested Spencer Harford, 73, for felony grand larceny in the third degree.
Hartford’s arrest happened after troopers investigated a report of two bad checks being written in October 2014.
The investigation determined that Harford had allegedly purchased some cattle and a trailer, valued at $29,800, from a woman in Deposit, N.Y., by knowingly giving her checks when he did not have the funds.
Harford was arraigned in the Village of Deposit Court and remanded to the Delaware County Jail in lieu of a $10,000.00 cash bail or a $20,000.00 property bond.
