Sheriff: Man ticketed after accident causes three injuries

JOHNSBURG, N.Y. – A man has been ticketed after an accident happened on Monday night.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says they responded to an accident that occurred when a southbound sedan operated by 55-year-old Robert Wachs lost control of his vehicle after crossing over railroad tracks. He then struck a northbound vehicle operated by 53-year-old Kevin O’Leary.

The road conditions in the area were slippery due to ice.

Wachs had to be extricated from his vehicle and suffered non-life threatening injuries.  O’Leary and his wife were injured as well and all parties were transported to the Glens Falls Hospital via ambulance.

Wachs was ticketed for failing to keep right and operating an uninspected motor vehicle.

The sheriff’s office was assisted at the scene by the North Creek and North River Fire Departments along with the Johnsburg, Indian Lake and Warrensburg Emergency Squads.
