Matthew Maioriello (Albany Co. Sheriff's Office)

COLONIE, N.Y. – The Albany County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Burnt Hills man after he became disorderly at Albany International Airport.

Deputies were called to the Southwest Airlines gate around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday for a problem with a customer. Police said Matthew Maioriello was removed from the Baltimore-bound flight because he was intoxicated.

Police said they were attempting to help Maioriello rebook his flight for the next day when he became physically and verbally abusive towards deputies and was arrested.

The 31 year old was released to a family member after posting $300 bail. He is due to return to the Colonie Justice Court on January 28.
