The Station Operations Manager will oversee all production-related responsibilities for the station including but not limited to; daily news production, sales & marketing production and special events. The Operations Manager will manage the production teams, which will include Directors, Audio Operators, Chyron Operators, MCR Operators and Floor Directors. Additionally, this role will include working with News management and News show producers to assist and guide with production elements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
-Make decisions regarding hiring, evaluation, promotion and termination of departmental employees.
-Manage all production activities and operations including crew staffing facility scheduling and program production workflow.
-Direct technical production staff in setup and operation of studio for news and remove site production activities; maintain production standards and quality control.
-Produce station special events and projects
-Work closely with Engineering Department to promptly report and resolve all technical issues.
-Participate in departmental and station annual budget preparation.
-Work with station management team as a project coordinator during the conversion to file based HJD newscasts and production automation conversion
