PAWS awarded grant money

ALBANY, N.Y. – A local nonprofit has received grant money for their dedication to people and pets.

The Albany Damien Center was recently awarded $10,000 in grant funds for their PAWS program from the Banfield Charitable Trust.

PAWS provides task, financial, volunteer, and informational support to help pet owners living with HIV/AIDS are never separated from their pets.

The program plans to use the awarded funds to cover the costs of veterinary care, pet food, and pet supplies provided to people living with HIV/AIDS and their pets.
