Man accused of burglarizing Rotterdam store

ROTTERDAM, N.Y. – A man is accused of burglarizing a convenience store.

On Sunday at 10:57 p.m., Rotterdam Police officers were dispatched to the Little Super convenience store at 1517 Helderberg Ave. for an activated burglar alarm.

Upon arrival, officers noted signs of forced entry and suspicious subjects in the building. The subjects fled upon the arrival of officers. After a brief foot pursuit, officers say they apprehended Andrew Nolan, 24.

Nolan was charged with burglary in the third degree, a class felony. He was additionally charged with misdemeanor offenses of possession of burglar’s tools, petit larceny, criminal mischief, possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest. He was arraigned and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible.
