TROY, N.Y. – Police are currently at the scene of a shooting that occurred inside of Kokopelli’s in Troy early this morning.
Police say there was a private gathering at the bar and a male in his 30’s was shot. The victim has non-life threatening injuries, and was transferred to a local hospital by a private vehicle where he was treated and released.
Police were contacted about the shooting by a person that had been at the bar during the incident. The witness left the bar, called police, and told them someone had been shot and taken to the hospital.
Officers were sent to both Kokopelli’s and local hospitals when the victim was located at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy.
Detectives are speaking to a number of witnesses that police say are cooperating in the investigation.
Joseph Glick Jr, one of the bar’s owners was present at the bar at the time of the shooting. So far, police say he has been uncooperative in the investigation.
A search warrant for Kokopelli’s is being prepared, as well as an additional search warrant for a vehicle that may be useful to the investigation.
