Late night fire destroys home in Cropseyville

CROPSEYVILLE, N.Y. – Firefighters say a home has been destroyed after a fully involved fire happened on Brunswick Sportsman Club Road.

Officials described the home as a camping trailer with a couple additions. They say the home was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.

The Fire Chief with Eagle Mills Volunteer Fire Department says there was no driveway in front of the home which made it difficult for crews to battle the flames.

The temperature reported during the fire was -1. It took about 45 minutes to knock down the fire. The trailer is as total loss.

Eight local fire departments helped fight the flames, and the Red Cross is providing assistance for the resident that lived inside the home.
