Union to play Boston University

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Union College hockey team will play Boston University on Saturday.

With a trophy on the line, the Dutchmen finished third in the Frozen Holiday Classic last weekend. Now they will play the top-ranked team in the country.

Boston University is the next game on the schedule, and though the Union team always has a ‘take one game at a time’ mentality, the players know there’s a little extra on the line on Saturday.

“We’re looking at this one like a tournament game,” forward Mike Vecchione said. “It’s huge for us. We need this win to start moving up in the rankings and put ourselves in a good spot.”

“Yeah, this will be a big statement game,” forward Matt Wilkins said. “Some teams or some people are counting us out right now and to get a win at BU would be huge.”
