LIVINGSTON, N.Y. – State Police have arrested a man for allegedly taking nude pictures of a woman without her knowledge.
On Tuesday around 10:05 p.m., New York State Police charged Thomas Bagnall, 27, with Unlawful Surveillance in the second degree, a felony.
In August of this year, a Germantown woman was notified by an acquaintance that they had seen nude photos of her displayed on the internet. Those photos were taken without the victim’s knowledge.
The victim contacted the State Police and reported the incident.
Following an extensive investigation, police say they discovered that Bagnall had taken the photos from the outside of her residence without the consent of the victim and the images were then posted on the internet.
State Police confirm that Bagnall is a Deputy with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office says he is a four year veteran with them.
Bagnall surrendered himself Tuesday night to the New York State Police in Livingston.
Bagnall was arraigned before the Town of Livingston Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
