TROY, NY – Police are reporting an arrest and seizure of a handgun and cash stemming from a domestic incident.
On Saturday in the early morning hours, Wendell Hill Jr., 24, of 8th Street, Troy, engaged in abusive behavior and fled from the police. Hills victim received non-life threatening injuries and was treated and released from a local hospital.
Hill was involved in a vehicle pursuit with Troy officers and then fled on foot into 314 8th St.,Troy. Officers were able to locate Hill and take him into custody.
A search warrant was obtained for the residence and a handgun and cash in excess of $9000.00 was located and seized.
Hill was transported to the Troy Police Station and charged with the below listed offenses. He was arraigned this morning and held in Rensselaer County Jail without bail.
He is charged with Assault 2nd, a felony, Grand larceny 4th, a felony, and Reckless Endangerment 2nd, Criminal Poss. Of a Weapon 4th, Unlawfully Fleeing Police, all misdemeanors, and several vehicle and traffic infractions
