The suspect involved in the Halloween assault outside Bootlegger’s on Broadway in Troy has been found.
Captain Dan DeWolf of the Troy Police Department confirms that Cody Santalucia was arrested and arraigned for assault on Sunday in connection to the Halloween case.
Sanatalucia was located at 11 Mountain Way in the Town of Schaghticoke.
Santalucia was arrested not long after he allegedly made taunting comments on the NEWS10 ABC’s Facebook page.
After NEWS 10 ABC made a Facebook post reporting Santalucia arrest warrant Saturday, a page with the name Cody Santalucia commented and posted a vulgar Picture captioned “Think I give a (expletive ) id smack all your offers before I do this (expletive ) county time …and quote “I’m right in south troy come hang.”
“I knew that he had made some posts and stuff like that. It was definitely a help putting it out there,” said the Troy Police Department.
NEWS10 ABC crews were able to speak to Ryan Felix, the victim of the Halloween attacks about Santalucia Facebook post.
“You know for him to just respond and think it’s really kind of funny and a joke you know that’s not the kind of person who you can trust to be out in the public and that he’s not going to do it again,” said Felix.
Felix, the director of the Fulton Street Gallery says he’s still recovering from traumatic injuries he received from assault.
“The concussion is still ongoing so it’s been you know I haven’t really been able to work,” continued Felix.
According Captain Dewolf, this is not Santalucia’s first run-in with the law.
Santalucia has made bail, and is charged with one count of Assault in the third degree.
