Code Blue Saratoga opens its doors for New Years

SARATOGA, N.Y. — Code Blue Saratoga will be open for 3 nights next week.

Starting on Monday, December 29 at 7p.m., The Salvation Army building on 27 Woodlawn Avenue will be open until 8a.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2015.

Everyone who is homeless and needs a place to stay is welcome in at any time. Dinner will be served at 7:30p.m.

People interested in volunteering can go to the Code Blue website to sign up for one or more 3 hour shifts. Volunteers are especially needed for the shifts between 12midnight and 6a.m.

Extreme winter weather is defined as 12 inches of snow or more and temperature of 20 degrees or less.
