Cuomo expected to sign liquid nicotine bill into law after Fort Plain child’s death

ALBANY, N.Y. –  A bill to require proof caps on all bottles of liquid nicotine in New York State could be signed on Friday.

The bill passed during the last legislative session, but pressure to sign it spiked after a one year old Fort Plain boy died after swallowing liquid nicotine.

The substance is used in electronic cigarettes.

Officials at the Capitol expect the bill to be signed at some point on Friday.
