TROY, N.Y. – City officials put out a parking notice Thursday night so they could clean up the snow in the downtown area.
Officials say they are enforcing stricter rules this winter. Last season, the city did not have a system in place to push back the snow.
Since then, the city has put up new street signs about snow emergencies after residents complained about the previous signage that blended in with the snow.
People parked in the downtown area from Federal to Ferry Streets and from River Street to Sixth Avenue Thursday night into Friday morning, may have been ticketed and/or towed.
The parking restriction ended at 7 a.m. on Friday.
Troy has been updating residents through social media and its website at troyny.gov.
