QUEENSBURY N.Y. –Several ski resorts near the Capital Region will be opening their slopes this weekend.
Resorts near the Capital Region have the potential to have a great opening weekend, especially after all of the snow that has fallen in the past couple of days.
Maple Ski Ridge, the family-owned business in Schenectady will officially begin its season Saturday.
Willard Mountain in Greenwich will also be opening this Saturday and Sunday. The mountain will have at least four trails and two lifts operating.
The upper mountain at West Mountain in Queensbury will be opening at 10 a.m. Friday. West Mountains tubing park is scheduled to open next week.
