SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Police have arrested a man for allegedly forcibly touching a Saratoga Bridges client.
On Sunday, Saratoga Springs Police arrested Patrick Maher, 59, on an arrest warrant.
Maher was employed by Saratoga Bridges as a driver. In that capacity, he would transport clients of Saratoga Bridges in and around Saratoga for a variety of reasons.
In October, Saratoga Bridges received a complaint about questionable conduct that was going on between Maher and a 54-year-old female client that was regularly transported by Saratoga Bridges. Saratoga Bridges immediately contacted police to begin an investigation.
Based upon this investigation, Maher was charged with forcible touching and endangering the welfare of an incompetent/psychically disabled person.
The endangering charge is based upon Maher attempting, over the course of September and October of this year, to get the victim to engage is a sexual relationship with him, say police. Authorities also say the forcible touching offense stems from an incident that took place between the two when Maher was not driving for Saratoga Bridges. The allegation was that Maher took the victim to an isolated area in his personal car and, during that time, he forcibly touched the victim’s intimate parts. This took place toward the end of September.
Maher was arraigned released on his own recognizance.
