ALBANY, N.Y. — According to New York State Police, a body was found outside the state museum by the World War II memorial Sunday.
Officials say a homeless person discovered the body at around 1 a.m. and reported it to police.
Authorities are identifying the body as 23-year-old Htee K. Paw. Paw was known as a homeless person who frequented the area.
An autopsy was performed by an Albany County Medical Examiner on Sunday. The doctor determined the cause of death, and attributed her passing to chronic liver disease.
Officials say Paw drank alcohol prior to being found. Investigators are waiting for toxicology results to determine her exact BAC level.
This is not the first time a dead body was found at the New York State Museum. In September, a 30-year old man who was believed to be homeless was also found in the same area.
