CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – A Schenectady man is accused of selling drugs in Saratoga County.
According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Melo McCarthy, 32, was arrested after an investigation.
The investigation revealed that McCarthy sold crack cocaine in Clifton Park and during his sales, children were present, according to police.
A search warrant was issued for McCarthy’s arrest following the investigation. With help from Schenectady Police, the sheriff’s office located McCarthy.
He has been charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third and two counts of criminal possession in the controlled substance, both felonies. He was also charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors.
He was arraigned in county court and remanded to the custody of the sheriff’s office.
