Man accused of Medicaid fraud

 FORT EDWARD, N.Y. –  A man has been arrested for alleged Medicaid fraud.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says that Scott Rabine, 44, was arrested on Thursday for Grand Larceny in the third degree, Offering a False Instrument for Filing in the first degree, Health Care Fraud in the fourth degree, and Health Care Fraud in the fifth degree.

Rabine allegedly provided a written instrument with false information relating to his household income to employees of the Warren County Department of Social Services. The false information was on Medicaid recertification forms, which are required annually to maintain or receive Medicaid benefits.

Rabine allegedly obtained more than $4,605 in Medicaid benefits that he was not entitled to. 

He was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and remanded back to Warren County Jail.
