FONDA, N.Y. – A State of Emergency has been declared in the Village of Fonda.
Mayor Peeler declared a state of emergency Thursday night due to excessive flooding on Main and Broadway.
The mayor urges residents to use alternate routes.
A flood advisory was issued for both Fonda and Montgomery Counties by the National Weather Service in Albany. Interstate 90 is closed in both directions at Exit 29 due to flooding.
The flood advisory lasts until 11:15 p.m.
