STAR exemptions removed from more than 1,200 Albany properties

ALBANY, N.Y. – City of Albany officials have announced that STAR exemptions will be removed from some Albany properties.


According to Mayor Kathy Sheehan’s Office, homeowners in the City of Albany should be aware that the State of New York has ordered the removal of STAR exemptions from more than 1,200 properties. This is because the properties have not met New York’s registration requirements. 

Addresses of the properties have been posted on the City of Albany website which can be found here.
