LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. – Police say a woman has been arrested for firing a shotgun at a man and his dog after the dog would not stop barking.

Neighbors tell News10ABC that 41-year-old Jennifer Dodson was heard having a dispute inside her home at 6 Bradley Street, when 30-year-old Derek Ford of 7 Thomson Avenue went to check on the situation.

When Ford arrived outside of her home, the two were involved in a verbal argument over Ford’s barking dog. Police say Dodson then allegedly retrieved a shotgun from her residence and fired a round off towards the general area of Ford and his dog “Aries”.

Dodson was taken into custody by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Menacing, Reckless Endangerment, and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence.

She is due to appear in Lake George Town Court later this month.
