Amber Alert activated in St. Lawrence County

OSWEGATCHIE, N.Y. – The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office has activated an Amber Alert.

The sheriff’s office is investigating a confirmed child abduction that occurred around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 812 in the Town of Oswegatchie.

Police said two children were taken.

Fannie Miller is described as a white female approximately 12-years-old with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said she is around five feet tall and weighs about 90 pounds. She was last seen wearing a dark blue dress with blue apron and black bonnet. Police said she is also cross-eyed.

Delila Miller is described as a white female approximately six-years-old with brown hair and brown eyes. She is around four feet tall and weighs about 50 pounds. Police said she was last seen wearing a dark blue dress with a blue apron and black bonnet. She has a round scar on her forehead and is missing front teeth, according to police.

The suspected vehicle has been described as a white four-door sedan. It is small with an unknown plate number, according to police.

Police said the two Amish victims went to their roadside stand to wait on a customer in a small, white four-door sedan. Witnesses saw a passenger of the vehicle throw something into the back of the vehicle and then get into the back seat. The vehicle left, and the victims were gone, according to witnesses.
