EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. – Police arrested two East Greenbush residents after the family babysitter turned in drugs that were found by a child.
Police responded to a Troy Road home after receiving a call from the family babysitter. The sitter turned over a box full of heroin baggies and an assortment of hydrocodone tablets that had been found by one of the three children she was watching, according to police.
Police said the child indicated the drugs had come from a bedroom dresser drawer.
Muhammed Ceasar, 28, and Ali Napolitano, 26, were arrested and charged with possession of 30 baggies of heroin and 26 hydrocodone tablets.
The two were arraigned in East Greenbush Town Court on two counts of Criminal Possession of Control Substance in the Seventh Degree and three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Bail was set at $1,500 for Ceasar. He was remanded to Rensselaer County Jail. Napolitano was released on recognizance and both were scheduled to reappear in town court at a later date.
