Man accused of firing slingshot at neighbor’s home following dispute

NEW SCOTLAND, N.Y. – A neighbor dispute has landed one man in trouble with the law after he allegedly fired a slingshot at his neighbor’s home.

New York State Police were first called last week to investigate damage to a home and two vehicles in the Town of New Scotland.
Authorities returned on Friday after they say they learned David Ellers admitted to firing sling-shot pellets at his neighbor’s property due to the ongoing dispute.

Ellers has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor harassment in the first and criminal mischief in the fourth.
