Welfare check leads to fugitive from justice arrest

SHARONTO, N.Y. – A Carlisle woman was arrested as a fugitive from justice after police conducted a welfare check.

State Troopers were called to a business on Route 20 in the town of Sharonto to check on a highly intoxicated female. Their investigation revealed that Carolyn Timm, 27, of Carlisle, was wanted by Arizona police for Larceny, Criminal Impersonation, Resisting Arrest and Probation Violation.

Timm was arrested on the Arizona warrants and arraigned in the Carlisle Town Court. She was sent to the Schoharie County Jail without bail where she will await extradition proceedings.
