Troy student’s present personalized books to Mayor

TROY, N.Y.—Students in Troy presented their hard work to Mayor Lou Rosamilia Friday.

Troy City School District students wrote books called “Describing your City” during a year-long program.

Each child, from grades four to six, illustrated and described Troy in their books.

The students got to share their books with the Mayor Friday, as well as had the books on display in City Hall for the public to see.

“I want to tell you we appreciate it because you are the youngsters that are moving on. Some of you will be back here next year, but you’re the future of Troy. If you can see Troy now as students, you’ll see more and more, get more involved in Troy,” said Mayor Rosamilia.

The “Book Arts” program started in 2006 and participated with 26 classes across the Capital District.
