ALBANY, N.Y.—Several softballs team are taking the field Friday to keep the memory of a Shenedehowa student going strong.
The second annual Deanna Marie Rivers Softball Tournament will begin Friday afternoon at the College of Saint Rose sports complex.
Rivers planned to attend Saint Rose after high school. She and Christopher Stewart were killed in a crash on the Northway back in 2012.
Four teams will play in her honor, and one player will win a one-time college scholarship named after Deanna, who loved the game.
