Schenectady residents encouraged to register their dogs in Central Park

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Schenectady residents have a chance to take their new four-legged friends for a walk in the park to register their pets with the city.

The City Clerk’s Office will have people on hand selling dog licenses in the Central Park Pavilion from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Every dog owned or harbored in New York for more than 30 days must be licensed, except for dogs confined to hospitals, research institutions or Class A Dealers with an authorized certificate.
