RGA raises millions of dollars

WASHINGTON – The Republican Governors Association has raised $50 million since New Jersey Governor Chris Christie took over the political organization.

That amount beat the previous six-month fundraising record by $25 million.

Christie is considering a White House bid in 2016 and has been crossing the country raising money and campaigning for GOP candidates.

The RGA said the organization has $70 million in its coffers which is nearly double what it had in 2010.
