BRUNSWICK, N.Y. – A 36-year-old Vermont man has been arrested on several charges after police received a complaint that he was allegedly recording a female in the shower.
Following a six month investigation, Trooper’s in Brunswick arrested Michael P. Morgan, of Pownal, Vermont.
In December of 2013, Brunswick Trooper’s received a complaint that Morgan was secretly recording a female in the shower at a residence in the Town of Hoosick. A search warrant was executed on Morgan’s cell phone, and authorities say evidence was obtained to substantiate the complaint.
Morgan was arrested on March 18, 2014 for the Felony of Unlawful Surveillance in the 2nd-degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was arraigned in the Town of Hoosick Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail.
Following the arrest, several electronic items were taken into evidence, and additional search warrants were executed on those electronics and several pictures of child pornography were found.
On May 21, 2014 Morgan was charged with additional felonies of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child and Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child. He was arraigned in the Town of Pittstown Court.
He was additionally charged with the felony possession of child pornography on June 5, 2014. He was arraigned in the Town of Hoosick Court.
Morgan is currently being held in the Rensselaer County Jail, and is on parole in the State of Vermont.
