COLONIE, N.Y.—An honor flight with 50 World War II veterans is scheduled to depart from Albany International Airport on Saturday, June 7.
The Capital District’s longest continuously operating non-profit organization that flied World War II veterans to Washington, DC, Leatherstocking Honor Flight, announced their second honor flight for 2014.
Veteran’s going on the flight range from their late eighties to mid-late nineties.
The veteran’s will go on a one day trip to Washington, DC so the veterans can experience their Memorial as well as other Memorials and Arlington National Cemetery.
The flight will leave Albany at 7:45 a.m. and return at 9:30 p.m.
