2012 homicide suspect arraigned

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – A suspect in a 2012 Schenectady homicide was arraigned Thursday.

James Johnson, of Brooklyn, was arrested and charged with Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree Wednesday for the shooting death of George Lloyd in October 2012.

The 26-year-old was arraigned Thursday and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail without bail. He will reappear in city court Friday for a follow-up hearing with an attorney.

Police said the investigation into the 2012 shooting is continuing and more arrests are expected.
